SOME PAST EVENTS
We hosted a peace event during Armed Forces Day on 29th June 2019.
A report on this by Kathrine Sealey can be read on the Quakers in Britain website here
Salisbury’s first Repair Café was launched at the Meeting House on Saturday 2nd November 2019.
Repair Cafés are free meeting places for repairing things rather than 'binning' them. Salisbury Repair Café outgrew the space available at the Quaker Meeting House and now meets at Bemerton Methodist Church, Roman Road, Salisbury. Click here for more information
Warm Spaces
Salisbury Quakers opened the Meeting House on Friday afternoons from 11th November 2022 to the end of March 2023 to provide a warm and welcoming space to everyone. Tea, coffee and biscuits, games, WiFi and magazines as well as a friendly chat were on offer from 2.30 to 5.30 pm to anyone looking for somewhere to escape the 'Cost of Living' crisis or simply wanting some company. Warm Spaces was run in association with other local groups and venues in a scheme co-ordinated by Salisbury City Council.
There are no plans at present to repeat this in 2024 at the Meeting House.
